Cell Phone: 1.a mobile telephone system using low-powered radio transmitters, with each transmitter covering a distinct geographical area (cell), and computer equipment to switch a call from one area to another, thus enabling large-scale car or portable phone service.

hi, That looks like my Galaxy Nexus at the right. I have been a cell phone user now with the same company for nearly twenty years. Isn't the technology wonderful? (I will be 79 next month)

And I'm the only one on the planet without a cell phone.
I have the Galaxy Nexus Prime (pictured) and it really is an awesome piece of technology. Just changed over from an Iphone 4S and will never look back.

Oooh, for once I like the look of the future - it looks so cool.
I don't have one, but I'm liking the little thing that is phone and tablet all in one. I'm hoping to visit all the blogs on the A-Z Challenge in April.
I love the keyboard. That is so cool! I hope they do this with the iPad soon.
I resisted cellphones for a long time and still feel they're overused and not as personal as full phones. I actually would love to get a working candlestick phone, and still miss rotary phones.
My mobile phone is bog standard basic and I really don't like being available 24 hours a day! Yes, I'm nearly a Luddite;-)
What a fun post. I remember the good ole days when the cell phones looked like walkie talkies. Although I admit that the new cellular technology makes life more convenient, I think that the old dial phones have a vintage elegance to them even though I haven't used one in ages.
Great one! It always cracks me up to see one of those giant cell phones on an older movie :) And now when people have their Blue Tooth in/on/whatever I start thinking Cyborg. Interesting to think about what they'll be like in 10 or 20 years...
I don't know what the future holds. My cell phone just made calls. My daughter got me a phone, bless her heart, it has a keyboard for texting, which I might learn one day and this one even takes pictures, can you believe it?
Mine can be a pain in the butt at times, dropped calls, no signals and cell phone towers line the freeway. I think there is too much on that information hiway- with everything being WiFi these days and towers probably need upgrades. Nice post

This all scares me too much. My first cell phone (not long ago) weighed about 15 pounds.

I am hoping to just be surprised! It all changes so fast, I suppose even what we're seeing for ideas now will be outdated in the not too distant future.

Love your theme. Sometimes, I feel like I'm the only person without an iPhone. I'm just not a phone person. All I want to do is talk and text. I think that I supposed to have lived in the 1950's. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your posts.
I have yet to get a smartphone. Sometimes I reel from the amount of technological changes that have happened in my lifetime.
