What about when we thought the sun revolved around Earth and we were the center of the universe? (I still sometimes think I am the center, but I have to succumb to the truth of science) (source)
More recent discoveries where human knowledge can be seen to have evolved:
- Pluto is not a planet
- Hybrid cars
- Solar panels
- iTechnology (see my I post) and technology in general

Remember when the first computer was invented and some claimed it would never find a practical use?
I still sing Pluto in the planet song. It doesn't rhyme without it. :)

It's amazing what I've seen in my own lifetime already. Makes me feel like a dinosaur!
my kids can still get the center of the universe thing mixed up.
