Oscar: Trademark : one of a group of statuettes awarded annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for achievements in motion-picture production and performance.
Jut some of my thoughts on the stars and the events, not necessarily the winners:
Billy Crystal: Loved him back, but couldn't get used to the extra cheeks.
Gwyneth Paltrow: Gorgeous! Wished for that body.
Rooney Mara: You are the one to look for in the future.
Chris Rock: The hair must go - sorry just does not suit you.
Sandra Bullock: Such a pretty natural face does not need botox.
Christopher Plummer: Congratulations! Beautiful speech.
Cirque du Soleil: Amazing talent. Just WOW!
Emma Stone: You rock!
J.Lo: Interesting dress. Wondered what would happen if the tape gave out (actually the hubby wondered)
Live Music for the show: very well done! Impressed.
On a side note, saw a commercial for Titanic in 3D coming to theaters on April 4th. I remember seeing this movie twice in a theater, once at 1am in the morning because the tickets were sold out. Looking forward to this touching movie again.
Did you watch the Oscars? What was your favorite part? Worst? Best? Funniest? Saddest? Overdone? Underdone?

The only part of the Oscars I've ever really enjoyed is spending the next day pouring over all the dresses with a friend. We used to spend a whole morning at work just finding web sites pointing out the bad dresses - but I've missed that today because we don't work together anymore.
I know I should be more interested in the films, but I'll watch films I want to see, not ones that have won awards.
I only watched Billy Crystal at the beginning. I enjoyed it. He's always funny.
I watched maybe half of the show. Wanted to catch Best Animation - happy Rango won!
I didn't get a chance to see it, but I'm glad The Artist won best picture, even though I haven't had a chance to watch that movie yet. I just like it when something very different wins. :)
I was so busy finishing a novella I've been working on that I forgot about the awards until about 5 hours into them. I caught the last 1.5 hours I think. :)
I did not watch. I used to like seeing what they were wearing best. lol on J. Lo's dress.
Loved it and found it went much faster than usual. I was hoping The Help would win though.
Wanna know how lame I am? At 9:00 I asked, "When are the Oscars anyway?" And the answer came ... Um, that would be a few hours ago, lol. So nope, didn't see it! Gonna go look up dresses though. I always kinda like to see what the people are wearing.
And Sandra Bullock had work done? Sad. :(
I usually watch the Oscars, the NBA All Star game was on in our house instead. I hid in my room reading :) But I did catch the Cirque du Soleil show, it was amazing!
Great post! I didn't get to watch the oscars so thanks for filling me in on all the details!
PS - I agree, Sandra Bullock sooo doesn't need botox!

I watched the red carpet to see what people wore and then changed the channel after Octavia won..I never watch the Oscars and I found it a bit boring...
